I totally disagree with you Tsuga.I don't think they are as good as everybody is making them out to be.Who have they played and who have they beat? It's all smoke and mirrors.I posted their schedules and such and broke down their "signature wins" They have played NOBODY.NO BOD EEEEEEE.Florida got beat by Kentucky.Check out Kentucky's wins.Arkansas beat A&M.Check out A&M's schedule.Who have these teams played? NO BOD EEEEE.A&M got beat by Mississippi State at HOME and Mississippi State lost to Memphis frickin State in a game the refs couldn't even fix.I ain't buying any of it.Until I see that league go out of conference and beat somebody I ain't buying all the BS.LSU went on the road and got drilled by UCLA.Auburn went on the road and got handled by Penn State in a game that wasn't as close as the score thanks to the zebra's they pack with them.Mississippi State goes on the road and got drilled by Memphis.Bama beat Miami on the road but so did Michigan State and I would argue that Michigan State handled em easier than Bama did.How about Georgia's "BIG WIN" over Clemson? Who is Clemson? They got beat by NC State for Gawd sake.Sorry but I ain't buying the baloney. Not until they play somebody and beat em.Last year don't count.5 years ago don't count. This year is all that matters.ĮSPN's goal is to bring in $$$$.It is in their best interest as a business to do whatever they can to enhance the 2 conferences that they are affiliated with. They created the SEC channel and the ACC channel to directly compete with the B1G channel and Texas Universities channel.Ever since that business relationship has began they have been shamelessly promoting those 2 conferences as being superior to the other 3 conferences. Now they have absorbed Texas and Oklahoma into the SEC.Their mission in the CFP is to load up as many teams from the SEC and ACC as possible as it benefits their business which is their network. There is no conspiracy here it is simply about money. The SEC officiating during out of conference road games has been documented ad nauseum. It is real. The down markers don't lie.The phantom penalties or lack of penalties called in key situations game after game is no lie or conspiracy but fact. The stacking of the preseason rankings to favor those conferences is not a lie or conspiracy but a fact.Their goal this year is to make you believe that Georgia and Alabama are light years ahead of the rest of the teams and that simply is a bunch of bullbutter.Even some of the announcers on rival networks are getting into the act and speaking out about the nonsense this playoff system is.5 conference champs.1 non power conference team and 2 at large teams should make up the playoffs. To take a team that isn't a conference champ and put them in a playoff for the national championship is pure garbage. In this limited team playoff only conference champs should play for a national title period Stop.It is week 5 and they are already opining on ESPN that it is a forgone conclusion that Alabama and Georgia are in the playoff and we are going to fill out the other 2 teams from the rest of the field.Sorry but the games have to matter and conference champions must take preference over everything else. This garbage has been going on for years now and I am shocked that there isn't more of a backlash from the other conferences.I believe the worm has turned this year and the playoff system is in for an overhaul or you may see the rest of the conferences form their own playoff and leave out the SEC.I can also see the other conferences demand that one media company not own the rights to the playoff but split it among 2 or 3 different media outlets.Change is a coming because it has to for the integrity of the sport.
